Photographing the people, places and work that give the Balearics their character.

Ryan Noble is a photographer, creative producer and storyteller working across the Balearic Islands, based in the Tramuntana mountains of Mallorca.

He spent twenty years as a picture editor and photojournalist in Los Angeles and New York, working with publications including TIME, The Sunday Times and National Geographic, and personally represented the Herb Ritts collection for South America. He then joined Based On A True Story as a creative travel designer, producer and facilitator — designing, producing and photographing multi-country private journeys, and creating hand-bound leather coffee-table books for clients.

He has lived in the Balearics for more than twenty years. His work now focuses on the islands’ working communities, crafts, food, architecture and daily life — including a commissioned photographic archive of Sóller, supported by the Consell de Mallorca, documenting the town’s trades, small businesses and working landscape.

He works internationally across editorial commissions, travel and hospitality assignments, cultural projects, brand storytelling and creative production.
